"KazSat-2" was launched into geostationary orbit (GSO) on July 16, 2011 from the cosmodrome "Baikonur".

"Kokterek" Center of space communication
"Kokterek" CSC is a modern technological center, created as an analogue of the current "Akkol" CSC.

The Ground control complex in Akkol was visited by representatives from Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the «Nur Otan» party

6 January 2017 the satellites Ground control complex in Akkol (GCC «Akkol») was visited by Akhmetov Sapar Kairatovich (Deputy of Majilis, the member of Committee for economic reform and regional development, the member of the «Nur Otan» party), Umirbayev Bauyrzhan Dosenovich  (the first Deputy Chairman of Akkol district branch of the «Nur Otan» party) and Simchuk Valeriy Nikolayevich (the member of Akmola regional maslikhat).

During the visit to the GCC «Akkol» the guests got acquainted with the activities of  RCSC, the Ground control complex of «KazSat-2» and «KazSat-3» satellites mission, the technical equipment of the GCC «Akkol», the work of all departments of the complex and the level of professional training of RCSC specialists.

Meeting of deputies of the Majilis with labour collectives and the public, visits and socio-cultural enterprises and institutions are held from 4 to 13 January 2017 in the framework of the meetings with voters.
